This is the alternative to the major brands and works perfectly for half the price. It is easy to install and turns on easily. The chlorination is perfect and the pool stays clear. The energy level is identical and the fittings are compatible. The manual is easy to read and the unit should last at least 2 years. Comes with what is needed to keep it clean and operate properly.

If you have a pool and don’t have a salt/chlorine system I first recommend you look into one. I find they make for easier pool maintenance and less mess with chemicals. Second, if you do have a salt/chlorine system get this dummy salt cell bypass. With a salt/chlorine system the salt cell needs to be cleaned after “x” amount of hours of use (systems and cell size with vary). This dummy cell allows you to disconnect the salt cell and run the pump until you have the time to clean the cell. It will also allow you to remove the cell for repair or if you shut down the pool for the winter months and don’t want the salt cell exposed to winter temperatures. I think any salt/chlorine system owner should have one of these dummy cells. I’m giving it 5 stars because what can you criticize about a piece of PVC tubing.
