There is a tension adjustment screw and the handle locks in place once clamped allowing you to use the press for gluing frets in place as well as pressing.

This tool works well for reseating frets if you have some that pop up, unfortunately it wouldn’t work for my set-neck guitar on the higher frets which are what I needed it for. Made well enough for the hobby guitarist or at home luthier
